We didn’t choose this fight.
It came to our door—just like it may be coming to yours.

My wife is a proud U.S. Army Veteran from Atco, New Jersey, someone who served her country with honor and integrity. I’m a native New Yorker, a real estate professional who worked for Concoren Group for over 10 years. Like many families in 2007, we bought a home and secured a mortgage — ours was with Nationstar Mortgage.

We were just building our lives — serving our country, working hard, raising a family.

But then came the deception.

🏚️ A Decade of Injustice
For over 10 relentless years, Nationstar Mortgage pursued us with one goal:
Take our home.

They sold our debt — not once, but multiple times — flipping it like a stock, securitizing it, selling it to collectors, and chasing us through courtrooms and mailboxes. They filed foreclosures, re-filed them, ignored discharges, and played the paperwork game like it was a casino — only we were the chips.

In 2015, after years of struggle, the loan was discharged. We thought the nightmare was over.

But the corruption didn’t stop.

Nationstar then sold the already-discharged loan to NewRez, who tried to enforce it again. This time, they lost.
We took them to Delaware Chancery Court — and we won.

⚔️ That Was the Turning Point
We realized something profound:

💥 If this could happen to us — veterans, professionals, parents — it could happen to anyone.

We weren’t just fighting for our home anymore.
We were fighting for every family blindsided by servicers, collectors, and corrupt banking practices.

So we founded the Copeland & Beeks Foreclosure Advocate Foundation — to educate, empower, and help other homeowners stand their ground just like we did.
